Junior Jeff Martin (men’s basketball | Katy, Texas (Seven Lakes HS) scored in double figures in both games, last week. He had 18 points and a season-high 10 assists in the win over Howard Payne. He is only the second LETU player since 2000 to have 10 or more assists in a game. With the double double, he is the third LETU player to record a double double in 2015-16. Prior to the game against Howard Payne, Martin had 12 points and six assists in the loss to Sul Ross State. Martin shot 84.6% (11-for-13) from the free throw line and 47.4% (9-for-19) from the field. The eight free throws made by Martin against Howard Payne are a season-high for LeTourneau.
