Crystal Jones of the women's basketball team from Fort Worth, Texas, was named the LeTourneau University Female Athlete of the Year. Jones earned numerous post-season honors including third team D3Hoops.com All-Region, ASC Newcomer of the Year, first team all-ASC, first team all-ASC East Division, the ASC All-Defensive Team and the ASC All-Tournament Team. She scored in double figures in 26 of 27 games and became the first player in school history to have five 30 or more point games in a season. Jones led the ASC and the team in free-throw percentage, points per game and steals.
