Sophomore Caleb Epps played a tight first round match with Hendrix College’s Luke Leffler dropping the match (6-7(3), 6-4, 10-8). Epps would bounce back in the C Draw Consolation bracket advancing to the finals with big wins over Adam Barnett of Ozarks (6-4, 6-1), Drew Lambert of Howard Payne (6-3, 6-1) and Travis Fortune of Austin College (6-1, 5-7, 10-5) before his finals matchup with Schreiner’s Ricky Puente who took the match 6-1, 7-5.
Caleb also teamed up with Daniel Lopez in B Draw doubles for a first round victory over a duo from McMurry 8-3. In the second round Epps and Lopez played a tough match but dropped 9-7 to Nash and White of Hardin-Simmons.
