Valdez was a factor in both games that the LETU baseball team won last week, hitting .368 in five games with one extra-base hit and three RBI. On the mound as a pitcher, Valdez made two appearances and earned his first career save in a YellowJacket uniform while helping LeTourneau to a 6-5 win at Mary Hardin-Baylor.
