Akers earned her first ASC Softball pitcher of the week of her career after making her Yellow Jacket debut and appearing in relief in both games of a sweep of Schreiner. Akers earned the game one win, a 10-9 victory in eight innings, by throwing the final three innings, while striking out three and only allowing two hits. She then recorded the final two outs in game two, a 6-1 victory over the Mountaineers.
