Cody Whitley shut down the Texas-Tyler in game one of Saturday's doubleheader as he allowed just three hits en route to a 3-0 shutout win. The junior used 51 pitches to clinch the series for the YellowJackets. He was in complete control where the Patriots were held without base runner moving into scoring position and faced just three over the minimum.
