LeTourneau women's soccer made their fourth American Southwest Conference Tournament appearance on Tuesday but fell 3-0 in the quarterfinals to top seed and No. 11 ranked Hardin-Simmons.

In an afternoon game in Abilene, LeTourneau played even with the nationally ranked Cowgirls for most of the first half. HSU would get on the board in the 30
th minute as Kirsten Parrish scored her eighth goal of the season.

The YellowJackets continued to battle in the second half as they got shots on goal from freshmen
Cecilia Pichardo and
Rebekah Stevenson. The Cowgirls would add two more goals in the game including a late goal in the 86
th minute to push the lead to 3-0.

Hardin-Simmons outshot LeTourneau 26-6 and improved to 17-1 on the season. The Cowgirls will move on to face UT Dallas in a semifinal match on Friday in Abilene. Â

Senior goalkeeper
Brittany Hollis made nine saves in her final game in a YellowJacket uniform. Hollis ends her career in eighth all time in school history with 125 saves.

Stephanie Vana and
Raylene Gould also played in their last games for the YellowJackets and leave their names etched in the LeTourneau record books. Gould finishes in a tie for sixth all time in assists and captain
Stephanie Vana finishes in fifth in career points and goals as well as tied for fourth in assists.

"I'm so proud of this team and how they persevered through so many trials this season.
They are locked in to the direction we're headed, and the future is bright," said head coach
John Antonisse. "We have a very talented group of players returning with a lot of good college soccer experience under their belts, and we're already planning for greater success next year. I'm also very thankful for our three seniors who stayed the course over the past 4 years. Their commitment and leadership has been an inspiration for us all."

LeTourneau finishes the season 8-9-1 overall and 6-6-1 in conference play. The YellowJackets have now posted back-to-back eight win seasons and consecutive conference tournament appearances under Coach Antonisse.
