LeTourneau Drops Doubleheader in Alpine

LeTourneau softball dropped a pair of games to Sul Ross State on Friday night as they made the long trek to Alpine, Texas. The YellowJackets led for most of series opener but a 2-run fifth inning for the Lobos would be the difference as SRSU took the 2-1 victory.
 
In similar fashion LeTourneau (11-19, 6-17 ASC) led game two until the final half inning before the Lobos scored three runs to take the comeback win.
 
Whitney Judd went 3-for-3 at the plate in game two and scored two runs to lead the YellowJacket offense.
 
Junior Ashlin Roach had a sacrifice RBI in the first inning of both games as she got LeTourneau on the board early.
 
Macey Mize doubled to right center field in the sixth inning of game two and put the YellowJackets on top 2-0. After the Lobos added a run in the bottom of the sixth, junior Kelsi Coleman singled to center field to score Hayley Hurley.

Trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh Sul Ross rallied with three runs and earned a game two win, their 13th of the season.
 
LeTourneau will look to steal the series finale on Saturday with the first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m.
