LONGVIEW, Texas – Looking to get out to a 3-0 start for the third consecutive season, the LeTourneau University women's soccer team had little trouble getting past Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a 5-0 victory at the LETU Soccer Field in Longview, Texas on Tuesday, September 4th.

The win gives the YellowJackets 11 total goals through three games en route to a 3-0 start this season while the Lions slipped to 2-1-2 on the season.

How It Happened:
	- LeTourneau controlled possession and the tempo of the game throughout, spending much of the opening minutes of the game in the attacking third of the field while finding numerous chances to get on the board.
- Following shots by Keely Hayden and Madison Urbana that would be saved by the SAGU goalie, Kara Gipson would send in a corner kick that found the head of Rebekah Stevenson for her second goal of the season at the 14:45 mark to make the score 1-0.
- Hayden would get a shot at redemption just over three minutes later and make the most of her opportunity to allow the YellowJackets to double up the Lions at 2-0 in the 19th minute as LETU threatened to put the game away with a third goal in the first half.
- It would be Victoria Ratliff who would add a third goal in the first half, notching her second goal of the season following a pass in from Lexi Funk as the YellowJackets had little trouble playing their style of game in the opening 45 minutes.
- Gipson managed to get in on the scoring just over seven minutes into the second half, scoring her first goal of the year as LeTourneau would show no signs of stopping after matching their season-high output for goals.
- The final goal of the game would come at the 58:08 mark as reigning ASC Co-Offensive Player of the Week Reagan Sandford would net her team-best third goal of the year to cap off an offensive barrage by the YellowJackets.
Key Stats:
	- Posting their third consecutive shutout, LETU outshot SAGU by a total of 22-3 and held a commanding 12-2 advantage in shots on goal.
- Freshman goalie Mackenzie Wilbanks earned her first collegiate win of her career, playing all 90 minutes in goal and making two saves to run the LeTourneau shutout streak to 270 minutes to start the season.
