SHREVEPORT, La. – LeTourneau's baseball team dropped a doubleheader at Centenary Friday, 11-1 and 12-0.
The two teams will meet in another twin bill 1 p.m. Saturday, this time at LETU's Conrad-Vernon Field.
In the opener, Centenary (11-2) jumped out to an 8-0 lead through four innings before LeTourneau (5-7) got on the board.
Weston McKinley's RBI groundout scored
Josh White in the fifth inning for the Jackets' lone run. The Gents added three more runs in the sixth.
Centenary starter Connor Lee picked up the win, going five innings, while allowing a run on five hits, no walks and two strikeouts.
Raul Martinez took the loss after giving up seven runs on eight hits and three walks.
White went 2-for-3.

Dane Jones all had one hit for the YellowJackets. Gary Hewitt, Tyler Welch, Luke Royle and Brady Robinson all had two hits for the Gents. Chris Haggard homered for Centenary, which outhit LeTourneau, 13-6.
In the nightcap, the Gents opened an 8-0 lead through four innings again. They tacked on four more in the fifth to put it away.
Centenary starter Conner Poche tossed five scoreless innings to earn the win. He didn't allow a hit, walked one, and hit a batter.
Jared Schurig took the loss after giving up eight runs, seven earned, on 10 hits, a walk and two hit batsmen.
Chaz Jackson's single in the sixth inning accounted for LETU's only hit. Centenary's Ben Bridges went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Hewitt was 3-for-5 with a double. Preston Ludwick went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Tyler Erickson was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
LETU relievers
Austin Bryan and
Zac Schneider combined to pitch two scoreless innings. Bryan allowed one hit and a walk, and hit a batter, while striking out Brady Robinson to end the fourth. Schneider worked the final inning and two thirds, without yielding a hit. He issued a pair of walks, and hit a batter, while striking out two.
LeTourneau's pitchers combined to hit five batters.
