PINEVILLE, La. – LeTourneau's baseball team lost the final game of its road series at Louisiana College Friday, 17-2.
The American Southwest Conference-leading Wildcats (19-4, 15-0 ASC) scored in each of the first four innings, taking a 15-0 lead that was too insurmountable for the YellowJackets (9-14, 7-8) to overcome.
LETU scored once in the sixth when
Dane Jones raced home on a passed ball. After the Jackets loaded the bases in the seventh, Jones reached safely on an error, allowing
Dylan Cortes to score.
Jones was 2-for-4 with a triple.
Bryce Brueggemeyer,
Kameron Lindsey and Cortes each went 1-for-3. Keelyn Johnson was 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, a stolen base and six RBI, and Dane Pedersen went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two walks for the Wildcats.

LeTourneau starter
Raul Martinez (2-2) took the loss, allowing four runs, three hits and two walks.
Zac Schneider and
Kiernan Richards each pitched a third of an inning in relief, neither giving up a hit nor a run.
Louisiana College starter Andrew Robinson (3-0) got the win, allowing two hits, no runs and no walks.
The YellowJackets will host Ozarks 7 p.m. next Friday to begin a three-game series.
