MARSHALL, Texas --
Kiersten Reeser had a season-high 14 saves and the LeTourneau women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw at East Texas Baptist on Saturday evening in Marshall.
The one-point result for LeTourneau (2-6-3, 0-4-1 ASC) snapped a five-match losing skid.Â
It was the second time this year that Reeser tallied double-digit saves in a match (11 vs. Hardin-Simmons on Oct. 8) and LeTourneau needed all of them to preserve the draw. Reeser made seven saves in each half as she collected her third clean sheet of the season.
The 14 saves were the second-most in Reeser's collegiate career.
LeTourneau had its chances offensively, but was turned away each time.
Brandy Moran had an early chance in the 11th minute, but ETBU keeper Addison Funk made the save.
Gabriella Sanchez put one on target in the 34th minute that had the same result.
Moran had another shot on target in the second half as she led the team with four shots. Funk also made saves on shots from
Heather Fellows and
Drew Lessert in the second half.
Amy Pineda led all players with six shots as ETBUÂ (6-6-2, 0-4-1 ASC) held a 29-11 advantage in total attempts. Funk made five saves in her shutout.
