ABILENE, Texas -- The No. 3 East seed LeTourneau women's tennis team fell to No. 2 West seed Concordia Texas, 5-0, in the quarterfinal round of the ASC Tournament on Thursday at the Streich Tennis Complex in Abilene.
LeTourneau ends the year 5-10 overall. Concordia (13-4) moves on to face No. 1 East seed UT Dallas on Friday at 10 a.m.
Concordia took a 3-0 lead in doubles, but LeTourneau nearly took a point at the No. 3 flight.
Emma Boulanger and
Kylie Weeks led 6-5 against the Tornados'Â Claire Austin and Trinity Klamecki, but the Concordia duo rallied back for an 8-6 victory to finish off the doubles sweep.
Concordia took flight Nos. 2 and 6 to complete the match, as the tournament plays matches to decision.
In her unfinished match,
Kylie Weeks was battling Klamecki after dropping the first set, 7-5.
Brandy Weems, Boulanger, and
Clara Brisman also had incomplete matches in singles play.
LeTourneau was making its ninth straight appearance in the ASC Tournament.
