LONGVIEW, Texas -- Back home for the first time in over a month, the LeTourneau women's tennis team remained perfect at the Davis Tennis Courts with an 8-1 victory over Howard Payne in ASC action.
LeTourneau (6-7, 1-1 ASC) moved to 3-0 at home this season.
Grace Rogers and
Isa Casso picked up two victories on the day. LeTourneau tallied a pair of default wins as Howard Payne (2-10, 0-2 ASC) carried just five players.
In doubles,
Megan LeBlanc and Rogers rolled to an 8-2 victory at the top flight over Howard Payne's Victoria Ramos and Nina Delafuente. The duo moved to 12-4 on the year, and 10-3 in dual matches at the No. 1 flight.
Casso and
Brandy Weems were 8-3 winners at No. 2 over Zoe Sprayberry and Mikayla Hernandez.
LeTourneau then captured the match with the first two completed singles matches. Rogers downed Delafuente by a 6-1, 6-0, final at the No. 2 spot. Casso clinched the match with her 6-1, 6-1 win over Sprayberry at No. 3.
Elizabeth Moreau and
Anatole Hurta notched wins at Nos. 4 and 5. Moreau earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Hernandez at the No. 4 flight before Hurta claimed a 6-0, 6-2 win over Kaylee McLeod at No. 5.
The wins for Casso, Moreau, and Rogers marked their 10th singles victories of the season. The trip are tied for the team lead in the category this season.
