LONGVIEW, Texas -- LeTourneau women's soccer closed out its 2025 home season with a defensive masterpiece, winning 1-0 over Dallas at the LETU Soccer Field.
The shutout was the eighth of the season for the YellowJackets (7-6-1, 2-5 SCAC), setting a program record. The defense held the Crusaders (3-9-1, 2-4-1 SCAC) to just eight shots, three of which were on frame.
In a scoreless first half, the LeTourneau defense prevented Dallas from generating much of anything in the offensive zone, holding them to just two shots.
The Jackets, however, would drive five shots on frame, but none found the back of the net.
After the half, that changed quickly.
Reagan Parks would do the honors, taking a cross from
Chanel Kemball-Cook and drilling it past Ella Charles for the eventual game-winner in the 50th minute.
Then the defense went to work again, with
Kinsey Fulks making two saves and the rest of the squad smothering the remaining Crusader attacks.
Michelle Olivas,
Sophia Merjil,
Lana Whiteman, and
Clarissa Martinez played all 90 minutes defensively, aiding in the shutout effort, while Fulks tied the program record for most shutouts in a campaign with her sixth.
Charles made five saves between the pipes for Dallas.
