PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The LeTourneau baseball team rounded out its road trip to Pensacola at Blue Wahoos Stadium with a 11-3 loss to Wisconsin-Stout on Monday afternoon.
The Blue Devils (2-6) offense struck early with a four-run second inning, accompanied by three-run fourth inning, proving too much for the YellowJackets.
LeTourneau (6-10) was led offensively by
Xander Nabors going 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run, picking up his fifth multi-hit game of the season. Four Yellowjackets reached base twice in Nabors,
Dane Jones -- who went 1-for-2 with a walk and a pair of RBIs --Â
Cody Brady 1-for-3 with a walk and a run, and rounded out by
Austin Wiederhold, who scored a run as he continued his hot streak.
Zach Baker also collected a hit in the contest.
LeTourneau plated its runs from Jones on a sacrifice fly in the sixth, followed by back-to-back singles from Nabors and Jones in the seventh.Â
Frank Maestri (1-1) made his first career start for the YellowJackets.Â
Lane Holman and
Camden Miller shined out the bullpen, collectively throwing three scoreless innings, including three strikeouts from Holman.
Wisconsin-Stout was headlined by Justin Sedin, who went a resounding 4-for-6 with two RBIs including a homer and a double. As a team the Blue Devils produced 14 hits, half of them being for extra bases. Luke Carrier (1-0) picked up his first win of the season, going 6.2 innings in his start.
