2013: Named honorable mention all-ASC East Division...one of three YellowJackets to appear in all 38 games...made 37 starts...had a team-best 11-game hitting streak (Feb. 23-Mar. 23), raising his batting average from .185 to .369...had 13 multi-hit games including a four-hit effort against UMHB (Apr. 20) in the season finale...recorded six multi-RBI games including a four-RBI game against the Cru (Apr. 20)...second in home runs (3)...third in slugging percentage (.423), on-base percentage (.373), runs scored (22), hits (42), runs batted in (21), doubles (7) and batting average (.307)...a strong defensive presence at first base with just two errors and a .992 fielding percentage with 247 putouts and nine assists.

2011: Selected as the ASC East Division Newcomer of the Year...named first team all-ASC East Division...led or tied the team lead in 13 statistical categories including batting average (.372), RBIs (33), ERA (2.40) and strikeouts (75)...as a pitcher, he posted a 5-3 record with a 2.40 ERA...tossed four complete games...fanned 10 batters or more on three occasions...posted a season-high 13 strikeouts against Louisiana College (Apr. 16)..in the ASC, he ranked third with a 2.40 ERA and fourth with 75 strikeouts.

PREP: Two-time 17-3A District MVP at Spring Hill HS... As a senior, named East Texas Pitcher of the Year and a first-time all-state performer ... Was a first-time All-East Texas pitcher as a junior ... Named to two all-tournament teams during his prep career ... Team was the area champion and a regional quarterfinalist during his junior season ... As a senior, helped his team win the district title, gain the No. 1 ranking and advance to the regional finals ...Team finished the year third in the state ... Holds the single-season record for strikeouts with 186 ... Was 23-4 in two years with the Panthers.

PERSONAL: Son of Larry and Kelly Methvin ... has three siblings, Landon, Nathan and Hannah ... Grandfather Tim Langston played for the University of Arkansas football team (1960-62) ... earned a bachelor's in kinesiology from LeTourneau working on a master's degree in education.
