Prior to LeTourneau: A three-sport athlete at East Bernard HS...as a member of the baseball team, he hit .464 with 20 stolen bases to his credit...named to the TSWA Class 2A All-State Team...earned a spot on the state's All-Tournament Team...also lettered in football and track and field.

Personal: Son of Mark and Chartamia Mayfield...a mechanical engineering major.
