Biography

2014: Named second team all-American Southwest Conference and third team D3Baseball.com all-West Region...went a season-best 8 IP against Linfield (May 14)...struck out seven, twice, including against UT Dallas (May 8).

2013: Started a team-best 11 games...posted a 6-4 mark in 70 innings of work with a 2.31 ERA...his six wins, 2.31 ERA, 70 innings and five complete games were the second most on the team...struck out nine in a 6-2 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor (Mar. 1)...had at least five strikeouts in six contests...allowed an earned run or less in eight games...gave up just 11 extra-base hits...held opponents to a .261 batting average.

PREP: A three year letterwinner at Dickinson High School.

PERSONAL: Son of Mark and Debbie Whitley ...an education major.
