Biography
2014-15 (as a junior): Recognized on the American Southwest Conference All-Academic honor roll for a second-straight year...named to the ASC All-Tournament Team...picked up the win at No. 4 singles in the first round of the ASC Tournament, advancing to the YellowJackets to the quarterfinals in thrilling fashion...in the win, rallied from a 5-0 deficit in third and deciding set to clinch a 7-5 win at No. 4 for the YellowJackets and a 5-4 victory over Hardin-Simmons...third on the team in singles wins (7)...had a 5-11 mark in doubles with all five wins coming with Ty Grove.
2013-14 (as a sophomore): Named to the American Southwest Conference All-Academic honor roll...played in different four spots within the LETU lineup en route to a 8-11 mark...five of the eight wins came at No. 4 singles...had a four-match winning streak (Feb. 22-Mar. 5)...one of four YellowJackets to record 13 doubles wins, all of which came at No. 3 doubles...won four-straight matches with Tyler Grove (Feb. 22-Mar. 5)
2012-13 (as a freshman): Posted a 12-6 mark in singles and 13-6 in doubles...his 12 singles wins were the third most on the team...had an 8-5 mark at No. 6 singles, where he earned all-ASC East Division honorable mention accolades...went 3-1 at No. 5 and 1-0 at No. 1 singles, respectively...posted a 10-5 mark with Josh Bailey at No. 3 doubles where they were named All-ASC East Divison honorable mention...tallied a 2-1 mark with Morgan Weaver at No. 3 doubles.
Prior to LeTourneau: Lettered four years at Douglas High School...held a 20-2 singles record and a 22-1 doubles record as a senior...team won the county championship three times, the sectional championship three times, and finished in third place at the 4A state championship once...voted team co-MVP along with his doubles partner as a senior...member of doubles team that won the 4A state championship as the No. 1 seed ...graduated in the top 10 of his high school class...recipient of the Distinguished Athlete award by the Marine Corps.
Personal: Son of Thomas Patrick and Kimberly Ann McLaughlin...a mathematics major.
