Biography
2015 (as a junior): Became the second player in program history to earn first team all-ASC honors for a third time...named to the 2015 Fall ASC All-Academic Team for her efforts in the classroom...one of the top offensive threats for the YellowJackets in 16 contests, leading the team with 72 shots, tied for first in game-winning goals (3), second in goals (7) and points (16) and tied for second in assists (16)...had a pair of multi-goal games against Centenary (Sept. 8) and McMurry (Oct. 30).
2014 (as a sophomore): Played and started all 17 games…earned first team all-ASC honors…led team in goals (8), points (18), shots (61) shots on goal (27) and game-winning goals (3)…shared the team lead in assists (2)…logged 1,434 minutes of action…averaged 3.59 shots, 0.47 goals and 0.12 assists per game…started the season with a hat trick against Centenary (Aug. 29)…named the ASC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 2)...had 11 shots against the Ladies…tallied nine shots against Ozarks (Sept. 13)…closed out the season with an eight-shot effort against McMurry (Nov. 1)...named the LETU Female Athlete of the Year.
2013 (as a freshman): Named Third Team All-NSCAA West Region...only the second player in program history to earn all-region honors...selected to the American Southwest Conference Second Team...appeared and started all 16 games...shared the team lead in goals (4) with Raylene Gould...posted a team-best two assists...second on the team in shots (21) and shots on goal (9).
Prior to LeTourneau: A three-year letterwinner in track and two-year letterwinner in basketball...earned all-area recognition in basketballl...a two-time honoree on the Academic Honor Roll and the Scholar-Athlete Award...played on multiple levels of La Verne Lazers club soccer teams, where they were victorious in various tournaments.
Personal: Daughter of George and Kassandra Vana...a kinesiology major.
