Boone Privette

Boone Privette was named an assistant coach at LeTourneau University in 2017.

As assistant coach, Privette works primarily with the YellowJackets' pitching staff, while handling recruiting and field maintenance for LETU.

In 2020, the YellowJackets' staff combined for three shutouts in the shortened season that saw LETU go 9-7 overall, 6-3 in the American Southwest Conference. The Jackets won two of their three ASC series, and three of four overall. Kolton Eberlan was named ASC East co-Pitcher of the Week in March.

In 2018 and 2019, Privette helped lead the LeTourneau pitching staff to the sixth best earned run average in the ASC, while also having five pitchers named to the ASC All-Conference team (2018 - Andrew Harlan, Luke Ludwig, 2019 - Andrew Harlan, Ryder Lognion, Raul Martinez). The YellowJackets went 24-21 in 2019, advancing to the ASC Championship Gold Bracket series. LeTourneau went 23-19 in 2018.

Privette joined the coaching staff as the pitching coach after playing the 2015 and 2016 seasons at LeTourneau. During his senior season, Privette was named Second Team All-American Southwest Conference after posting a 2.37 ERA in conference play during 38 innings of work. He held opposing hitters to a .162 batting average, and struck out 47, while allowing only two extra-base hits in the 2016 season. He was also named LeTourneau Pitcher of the Year and ASC Pitcher of the Week in 2016.

Before transferring to LETU, Privette played for Cedar Valley College during the 2013 and 2014 seasons under head coach Robert Dally.
