Brandt Wood completed his third year as an assistant coach for the LeTourneau baseball program in 2025.
Wood was part of the staff in 2025 that earned ASC Coaching Staff of the Year as LeTourneau earned a share of the ASC regular season title for the first time in program history.Â
Wood handled player development for the program through their work on the field and in strength and conditioning. Over the last three years, LeTourneau has had 34 All-ASC selections, including a program record 17 in 2025.Â
He attended and played baseball at Southwestern College as a catcher. After an injury ended his playing career, he transferred and graduated cum laude from The University of Texas Arlington with a degree in kinesiology.
Wood earned his certification as a USA Weightlifting Coach and over the past two years worked with hundreds of youth and college athletes in their strength and conditioning development, including high-profile names such as the New York Mets 2022 first round draft pick Jett Williams. Â

"Brandt brings a passion for these young men and investing in them on and off the field," said head coach Paul Phillips. "He has depth of knowledge especially in improving baseball players ability to move more efficiently and effectively on and off the field, and brings a network and knowledge of high school and travel baseball coaches in the area. Furthermore, he's got experience at the college level as a catcher and brings with him a forward-thinking approach through developing athletes through a constraints led approach."Â
