Bryce Griffin is beginning his first season as a graduate assistant baseball coach at LeTourneau University.

Griffin will handle multiple duties for the YellowJackets including work with the outfielders. The former YellowJacket shortstop makes the transition from the playing surface to the coaching staff.

During his senior season with LETU, the YellowJackets won the first conference tournament title in program history and reached the NCAA regionals. At the plate, he was second in batting average (.338), third in on-base percentage (.412), tied for third in stolen bases (9), fourth in runs scored (31), fifth in hits (49) and total bases (57).  For his efforts, he was named honorable mention all-American Southwest Conference and to the conference All-Tournament Team.

In his first season with the YellowJackets, he compiled a .312 batting average, eight doubles, 20 RBIs and a team-best 29 runs scored en route to second team all-ASC East Division.

Prior to coming to LeTourneau, he spent two seasons at NCAA Division I member, New Mexico State, where they reached the 2009 NCAA regionals.
