Bryce Tomlin was named strength and conditioning coach at LeTourneau University in July of 2019.
He works with all 17 sports in preparing the student-athletes to reach the highest performance levels with an emphasis on weight training, nutrition and developing an understanding of the physical preparation before competition. Using a concentration on eccentric loading with a variety of resistance implemented to improve balance and coordination, Tomlin's program specializes on teaching athletes to train their bodies to kinetically move in a coordinated approach according to their sport's demands. His philosophies are centered on transferring the physical developments gained through his program into a game setting.
In his first year at LeTourneau in 2018-19, Tomlin worked with various athletes, and assisted with the baseball team while working with the outfielders.
Prior to LeTourneau, he assisted as a strength and conditioning coach at Stephen F. Austin State University in 2017-18, working with men's basketball, baseball and track and field. Tomlin worked with nine track and field athletes who competed at the NCAA preliminaries in 2018 after the men's team finished second and the women third at the Southland Conference Championships.Â
Tomlin earned a bachelor of science in kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is pursuing a master of business administration at LeTourneau. He received a certified strength and conditioning certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.Â
