Ethan Wood completed his first year as an assistant coach for the LeTourneau baseball program under head coach Paul Phillips in 2025.
Wood was part of the staff in 2025 that earned ASC Coaching Staff of the Year as LeTourneau earned a share of the ASC regular season title for the first time in program history.Â
Guiding the infielders, Wood helped LeTourneau post a .961 fielding percentage -- the highest in head coach Paul Phillips' tenure. All four regular starting infielders earned All-ASC honors.
Wood was a four-year player for the YellowJackets and a two-time All-ASC selection during his career from 2021-24. Wood earned All-ASC honorable mention in 2024 and in 2022. In 2022 as a sophomore, Wood hit a career-best .299 with 16 RBIs.
Wood was also a three-time ASC Academic All-Conference honoree and a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection.
He earned his bachelor's degree from LeTourneau in business and is pursuing a master's degree in business administration.
