Nate Crossman was named an assistant coach with the baseball team at LeTourneau University in January 2020.
He assists with on-field coaching, player development and administrative duties.
In an abbrieviated first season with the YellowJackets, Crossman was part of a staff whose team went 9-7 overall, 6-3 in the American Southwest Conference. LETU won its last three games before the season was cut short. The Jackets won two of their three ASC series, and three of four overall.
While playing for Augustana University from 2017-19, Crossman coached during the fall season, and assisted with hitting instruction at team camps.
In 2018, he was a member of the Vikings' NCAA Division II National Championship team that went 52-9. An outfielder, he played on two NCAA Central Region championship teams, two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament championship teams and an NSIC regular season title club. The Vikings advanced to the NCAA Central Super Regional in 2019.
Crossman had a .306 batting average in his two seasons with Augustana, which went a combined 95-25 in 2018 and 2019.
Prior to Augustana, he played two years at Neosho County Community College. There, he was a member of two Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference championship teams that went a combined 78-33 in 2016 and 2017. A Second Team All-KJCCC selection, Crossman batted .348 at Neosho.
A native of Derby, Kansas, Crossman earned a Bachelor of Arts in sports management at Augustana in January 2020. He is pursuing a masters in business administration at LeTourneau.
