Prior to LeTourneau: Started his college career at Dallas Baptist University...named 1st Team All-District in 2008 and 2009...hit .413 as a four-year letterwinner on the baseball team...played on the tennis team, in addition to baseball...selected as team captain during his senior year...picked to the All-East Texas Team in 2009.

Personal: Son of Bill and Angela Perkins...an exercise science major.
