Prior to LeTourneau: Attended Cochise College as a freshman...inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society for his efforts in the classroom...at Buena High School, during his senior year, he posted a 5-1 record with a 3.07 ERA...had 34 strikeouts in seven starts including four complete games...threw a no-hitter against Amphi High School...a three-year letterwinner at Buena High School.
