Prior to LeTourneau: Spent the last two years at Eastfield College...as a sophomore, he was first team all-conference as a designated hitter...hit .338 with 54 hits including 13 doubles and three home runs...had a .456 on-base percentage and a .475 slugging percentage...as a freshman, he earned all-conference accolades as a catcher...hit .331 with 43 hits including eight doubles and two triples with 23 RBI...inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta honor societies...as a two-year starter at LD Bell High School...during his senior year, he hit .354 with with 40 hits including seven doubles, a triple and a home run...as a junior, he he hit .434 with 46 hits including 13 doubles with a .535 on-base percentage and a .557 slugging percentage...named all-district as a junior...as a senior, he gathered multiple honors including first team all-district, district defensive player of the year...the VYPE Greater Fort Worth first team catcher and second team Fort Worth Telegram Super Team catcher accolades...inducted into the National Honor Society.
