Dave Mizell

Dave Mizell was named an assistant coach with LeTourneau University's softball team in 2019. He assists with player development, on-field coaching and instruction, recruiting and administrative duties.

Mizell has been on staff for some of the most successful seasons in program history. He was part of the staff with then-head coach Stan Wells that won a program record 28 games in 2023 and then 24 in 2024. Under now-head coach Macey Mize, he assisted the program to its first conference tournament championship game in 2025.

Prior to LeTourneau, Mizell coached the Sneaky Cleats 18-under club team based out of Tyler, Texas. In July 2020, Sneaky Cleats won the National Fastpitch Association national title in Gulfport, Miss. Mizell has also coached Sneaky Cleats 14U and 16U teams, and spent time as a club baseball coach.

Mizell was an outfielder at East Texas Baptist University in 1990. He earned a bachelor of computer information systems degree from East Texas Baptist in 1992.

He is married to Dale Ann Mizell, and the couple resides in Hallsville, Texas. They have a son, Hunter, daughter, Hannah, and a grandson, Aiden.
