James Cain enters his first year as a graduate assistant coach for LeTourneau in 2025.
Cain ran cross country and track and field at University of Alabama in Huntsville. A member of 5 Gulf South Conference Championship teams, Cain competed in the 3,000m steeplechase, finishing fourth in the event at the 2022 GSC Outdoor Track Conference Championship with a time of 9:20. Cain also ran a 25:41 in the 8k.
In 2024-25 Cain was a Volunteer Assistant Coach at UAH.Â
Cain earned a bachelor's degree in Sports and Fitness Management at UAH. Cain is pursuing his master's degree in strategic leadership at LeTourneau.
