Athletic & Human Performance Air Dome

OFFICIAL DOME WEBSITE FOR MEET INFORMATION, TICKETS, AND MORE

The Athletic and Human Performance Air Dome propels LeTourneau athletics programs forward, while supporting campus and community health and well-being. It also marks LeTourneau as a leader in innovative, applied education.

The approximately $30 million, 120,000-square foot facility opened in 2026 and is home to a national-championship-quality track and field facility that enhances YellowJacket Athletics performance and recruiting. With a 200-meter hydraulic-banked track and a seating capacity of 1,500, the Dome has the ability to host track meets of all sizes.

The project -- part of LeTourneau University's Build with Purpose campaign -- created a premier indoor track and field facility, suitable for hosting major regional and national meets, as well as a variety of other spaces for athletics, academics, and recreation. The Air Dome serves not only LeTourneau University but also Longview and all of East Texas, creating an attractive and flexible venue for sports competitions and other large events.

Along with the track and field programs, the Air Dome supports student and employee wellness, and extends recreation and intramural options. It will also serve as a source of academic growth with Human Performance and Sport Studies program space.

JOYCE FAMILY TRACK

The Joyce Family Track is a 200-meter hydraulic-banked track with an infield that holds space for two jump sand pits, two pole vault areas, and a 60-meter runway. The state-of-the-art track is the crown jewel of the facility, especially for its hydraulic banked system capable of elevating the turns or leveling them down. The infield space has two areas for both jumps and pole vault, while also featuring high jump areas. Additionally, the throws area just beyond the track offers space for both shot put and weight throw. A state-of-the-art Nevco videoboard sits in one corner of the track for fans to follow the action.

PING PERFORMANCE LAB

The facility holds program space for the LeTourneau golf teams. Two simulators, outfitted with Trackman technology, along with a putting green inside the PING Performance Lab elevates the experience for YellowJacket golfers and offers a premier space unique for a collegiate golf program.

The PING Performance Lab also offers a look into PING's famous Gold Putter Vault with a replica gold putter of Webb Simpson on display. Coach offices are also located on the second floor inside the Dome.

HERRING OFFICE WING

The Herring Office Wing houses coach offices for the track and field programs, along with the office for the Assistant AD for Air Dome Operations.

OATRIDGE TEAM ROOM

The Oatridge Team Room is a multi-functional meeting room with comfortable stadium seating for meetings and other small gatherings. The room is located under the press box adjacent to the track.
