Box Score Longview, Texas-Sporting their pink jerseys, the YellowJacket volleyball team improved as the match went on last night, but they were defeated by Mary-Hardin Baylor in 3 games, 25-8, 25-14, 25-18 on Dig Pink night to support Breast Cancer Awareness.
After battling back from a slow start in game one, LeTourneau rallied in game two, but fell short, as a couple of attack errors cost them momentum. Jo Runnels had 10 kills for LETU, and Kayla Ronda chipped in 7. Kelsie Doran led LeTourneau with 13 assists and Sarah Krippner had 7.
Coach Scott Peluso said after the game: "We didn't play great…seemed a little tight. Played a little bit better in the 3rd game with some great defense. We still need to learn how to compete for 25 points. We had a great crowd with lots of fan support."
LeTourneau's next game is Friday, October 12 at ETBU and the next home game is October 20 against UT-Tyler.
