Marshall, Texas-The LeTourneau University volleyball team was on the road last night taking on ETBU.  LeTourneau put up a good fight, but came up on the losing end against the second-best team in the league, 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-11).

Kayla Ronda led LETU with 7 kills, while also adding 9 digs, Jo Runnels added 4 kills, and Alexia Thomas had 3 kills and 10 digs.  Sarah Krippner had 12 assists for the YellowJackets against a Tiger squad that had 43 kills.  ETBU also added 39 assists, 35 of them by Kayla Taylor.

Coach Scott Peluso said of his team "We showed some great fight last night against the team that is in first place in our division. We battled point for point and even had the lead several times in the first half of the first two sets. When our serve receive is on and we are in system we do some great things, but we continue to struggle in stretches staying in system. I liked the energy tonight. We are still learning how to compete from beginning to end, but I continue to see improvement."

The YellowJackets next game is Wednesday night in Clinton, Mississippi against Mississippi College.
