Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision to Hardin-Simmons at Dig Pink Crossover

RICHARDSON, Texas – LeTourneau volleyball was defeated by Hardin-Simmons, 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-23), Saturday afternoon at the ASC Dig Pink Crossover Challenge II.

"I was really proud of our effort this afternoon against the team with the best record in the ASC in Hardin-Simmons," LeTourneau head volleyball coach Scott Peluso said. "We had great effort and energy. We did a nice job of staying in system, which allowed our hitters to take some great swings. Alexia Thomas hit .400 for the match and showed some great poise at the net. Jo Runnels also had a good match with 10 kills and three blocks. As a coach of a young team, it is great to see the continued improvement."

Runnels led the YellowJackets in kills with 10 and added three block assists. Sarah Krippner led LETU in assists with 13, while Kayla Ronda had a team-high 11 digs for the YellowJackets.

LeTourneau will return home for its next match, as the YellowJackets host Mary Hardin-Baylor on Dig Pink night at Solheim Arena.
