American Southwest Conference leader Hardin-Simmons scored three times in the first half en route to a 4-0 win over the LeTourneau University women's soccer team on Friday afternoon.

The YellowJackets (5-6-2, 2-3-1 ASC) were outshot by a 46 to 4 margin in the defeat. Sophomore
Brittany Hollis (pictured)Â faced 17 shots and made 13 saves in 63:29 of action. The 13 saves are the most since a 14-save effort by
Ashley Gleghorn in last year's season finale against UT Tyler (November 2).

Stephanie Vana each had a shot in the loss. Both of the attempts by Gould came in the first half and Vana had a shot after a corner kick by Gould that was saved by goalkeeper Abby Blunt.
"The team played hard against a very strong side," said LETU head coach
John Antonisse. "We started a little shaky, but played a much better second half."
Hardin-Simmons (10-1, 4-0 ASC) recorded their eighth-straight shutout of the season and got on the board in the 12
th minute when Katie Haltiwanger scored off a Peyton Janssen corner kick for her fourth goal of the season. HSU extended its lead when Kami Jones and Kirsten Parrish scored in the 18
th and 31
st minute, respectively. The Cowgirls' added a Karissa Olson goal in the 58
th minute for the final margin.
