The YellowJackets (4-15, 3-13 ASC) were led by sophomore Ladaria Brown, who scored a team-high 13 points in the loss. The Henderson, Texas native has been in double digits in 17 of 19 games in 2013-14.

UMHB opened the game on a 19-2 run and never looked back in the win. LeTourneau closed within 10, 31-21, late in the first half with an 11-1 spurt. In the spurt, nine of the 11 points came from Brown.

Twice in the second half, LeTourneau had the deficit down to 16 but the host Cru answered the threat by the YellowJackets.  In the second 20 minutes, UMHB shot 48.3% from the field and outscored LeTourneau by a 34-22 margin.

The YellowJackets will look to bounce back on Saturday, Feb. 8 when they travel to Concordia in Austin. Earlier this year, on January 2nd, the Tornados defeated LeTourneau, 77-69 in Solheim Arena.
