Two first half goals by Schreiner University midfielder Beth Davis propelled the visiting Mountaineers to a 2-0 win over the LeTourneau University women's soccer team on Friday.

JoLynn O'Kelley were each limited to two shots kept in check by the Schreiner defense, who held LETU to eight shots.

Schreiner (2-1) took a 1-0 lead in the 37
th minute when Davis scored her first of two goals on a free kick after a LETU foul from 18 yards out. A little over four minutes later, Davis added her second goal of the contest, this time from 35 yards out to stretch the lead to 2-0.

LETU had four opportunities early into the second half, two of which were saved by SU goalkeeper Megan Morant, who wrapped up the night with four saves for the shutout.

The YellowJackets will have a quick turnaround as they will host Texas Lutheran on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the LETU Soccer Complex.
