LETU Volleyball Loses Pair at ASC Crossover

LeTourneau dropped a pair of matches against University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Hardin-Simmons University at the ASC Crossover in Belton, Texas.

The YellowJackets (4-10, 0-3 ASC) started the day with a 25-16, 25-15, 25-18 loss to host University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
The YellowJackets hit .037 in the loss with sophomore Savanna Stutts recording a team-best six kills. Sophomore Nicole Mosley had 11 assists and four kills, senior Alli Bordelon added 10 digs; plus junior Dolores Kroese had nine digs, four kills and two block solos.  
The Cru (5-6, 1-1) hit .277 in the win with Cheyenne Dowdey and Natasha Evans teaming up for 10 and nine kills, respectively. Shelby Prather had a double double with 23 assists and 15 digs. Dowdey had a block solo and five block assists en route to a 10.5 total team blocks.
LeTourneau dropped a 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 decision to Hardin-Simmons to end the day. The YellowJackets were led by a seven-kill effort by sophomore A.J. Campbell. Senior Kayla Ronda added six kills, two blocks and 10 digs in the loss; plus Bordelon had a team-best 25 digs to go along with five assists. Freshman Morgan Weaver was a strong presence at the net with six blocks.
Hardin-Simmons was led by Allison Kuster, who had a double double with 15 kills and 15 digs to go along with three service aces. Meagan Bauer added nine kills, three blocks and an ace in the win for the Cowgirls, who improve to 7-6 overall and 3-1 in the ASC.
LeTourneau will wrap up the weekend with a tilt against McMurry on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
