Keely Hayden registered her first career hat trick of her soccer career as the YellowJackets' women's soccer team defeated host Centenary, 5-4 on Tuesday in Shreveport.

It is the second-straight year that the LETU women's soccer team registered a hat trick in its win over the Ladies. Last year,
Stephanie Vana had the hat trick for the YellowJackets. The win puts LETU at .500 on the season with a 2-2 mark. Vana added two goals and an assist to the win as LETU outshot Centenary, 29-12 in the win. Sophomore
Kennedy Keer had seven shots in the win.

Centenary (1-2) scored twice in each half in the contest. Marissa Hughes scored in the 56
th and 78
th minute and Hannah Jo Wright had a goal and two assists.
Hayden and LETU scored twice in the first nine minutes for an early 2-0 lead in the contest. Hayden went on each side of the post for her first two collegiate goals. Then, Centenary y scored its first of two goals on free kicks in the 13
th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. Then, Hayden had an answer in the 21
st minute with a shot from the left side of the box to put LETU ahead 3-1. Vana scored her first goal of the season in the 34
th minute from on top of the box to stretch the lead to 4-1. Centenary countered in the 36
th minute to make it a 4-2 contest when Madison Alexander scored.

After a six-goal first half, the two teams continued its offensive efforts in the second 45 minutes. Hughes scored the first of her two goals in the 55
th minute on a free kick to make the contest, 4-3. The YellowJackets answered when Vana went to the top left for her second goal of the game in the 75
th minute for a 5-3 advantage. Centenary answered just over three minutes later with another goal by Hughes.
