Jeff Martin poured in 13 of his season-high 20 points in the second half to lead LeTourneau to the six-point win over the Mountaineers. Martin also added five assists and five rebounds.

The YellowJackets improve to 7-4 on the season with the victory and remain at 2-3 in the ASC with conference play resuming on Monday with a rematch with East Texas rival UT Tyler.

Caylab Herrera battled foul trouble but finished with 13 points in just 17 minutes played including 3 of 4 shooting from behind-the-arc.
Alec Colhoff also added 13 points including three 3-point field goals. LeTourneau matched a season-high with 13 long-range field goals as a team.

Also scoring in double-figures for the YellowJackets was sophomore
Christian Seidl who scored all 12 of his points in the second half.
Sam Talbert missed just one field goal as he went 4 of 5 from the floor and finished with 10 points.

The YellowJackets would jump out to an early six-point lead on a Colhoff three-pointer at the 12:37 mark of the first half. The Mountaineers would respond and take their largest lead of the game at 29-33 on a Jared Thompson jumper with 1:55 remaining.

Caleb Loggins scored four unanswered points to tie the game at 33-33. The sophomore forward led LETU on the boards as he paired his eight rebounds with eight points.

Jeff Martin buzzer-beating shot from 23 feet to end the half with a 36-33 lead.

There were 17 lead changes throughout the game as each team traded runs including a 9-2 run in the second half that pushed the LETU lead to 69-63 after two Martin free-throws.

Seidl and Colhoff would catch fire from behind-the-arc as they sank four straight three-point field goals to give the YellowJackets their largest lead of nine with 2:13 remaining. LETU knocked down their free-throws in the final minutes to earn the 87-81 victory.

LeTourneau will return to Solheim Arena tomorrow night for the final game of the LETU Holiday Classic as they square off with Texas Lutheran University. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. as the Bulldogs come in with a 6-4 record.
