LeTourneau University women's soccer tied 0-0 in a double overtime game with University of the Ozarks on Friday night at the Joyce Family Athletic Village.
In a game without goals it wasn't without action as the YellowJackets (3-4-1, 0-2-1 ASC) made multiple threatening attacks throughout the game. A few of those runs were made by
Kelli Sonnier and senior
Raylene Gould late in the second half.
As the clock was winding down in regulation the YellowJackets earned a corner that was nearly put in the goal by
Kelli Sonnier but, it bounced off the crossbar as time expired.
Freshman
Rebekah Stevenson played strong from her central midfield position winning multiple 50-50 balls with her physical play.
Possession and shots were shared almost equally between the two teams with LeTourneau taking 13 shots and the Eagles taking 12. Each team recorded three shots on goal with senior goalkeeper
Brittany Hollis recording her third shutout of the season.
The YellowJackets will be back on the pitch tomorrow at 5:00 to take on UT Tyler in another ASC East matchup.
