LeTourneau finishes the season with a 13-13 overall record and 10-5 in conference play.

LETU shot just .292 percent (21-72) from the field and .231 percent (6-26) from three-point range. The .292 field goal percentage ties a season-low for the YellowJackets. Six Crusaders finished in double-figure scoring for UMHB in a balanced effort.

Crystal Jones scored 19 points in her final game in a LeTourneau uniform. The senior guard led the American Southwest Conference in scoring at 22.1 points per contest during the regular season.

LaTanya Drakes finished her LETU career grabbing 14 rebounds to go along with 11 points. The senior led the conference in rebounding (14.3) and double-double performances as she finished with 19 during the 2016-17 campaign and 28 in her two-year career.

The Crusaders would take their largest lead of the first half with :24 remaining, taking a 44-28 lead into the break.

LETU chipped into the lead as they pulled within eight at the 5:37 mark of the third quarter on back-to-back Drakes layups. Mary Hardin-Baylor answered the YellowJacket run pushing their lead back to 18 at the end of the period.

UMHB scored 33 in the final quarter to hold off any comeback chances for LeTourneau sealing their 18
th win of the season. Â

There were eight YellowJacket seniors that played in the final game with LeTourneau printed across their chest and each has made a unique impact on LETU women's basketball helping to put the program and university in the local and national spotlight.

This group of seniors has led LeTourneau to back-to-back winning conference records for the first time, including a 17-10 (11-4 ASC) season in 2015-16 winning their first ASC tournament game in program history. The 17 wins were the most since joining NCAA Division III The second-consecutive tournament appearance is also a first for LeTourneau.

Crystal Jones and
LaTanya Drakes finished the regular season in the top-10 nationally in seven different statistical categories including Drakes finishing third in rebounds per game and Jones ranking ninth in points per contest.
