LeTourneau softball fell to the reigning NCAA National Champions, UT Tyler Patriots, 0-9 on Friday night at the Joyce Family Athletic Village.

The Patriots, who outhit the Jackets 2-12, iced LETU's bats all night. UT Tyler's Kissinger recorded nine strikeouts in the first contest of the series.

The YellowJackets, who are now 3-7 overall and 1-6 in conference play, look to turn it around when they continue their series with top ranked UT Tyler on Saturday. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.
