LeTourneau dropped the first of a 3-game series 7-3 to Mary Hardin-Baylor at Conrad-Vernon Field on Thursday night. LETU couldn't recover from a tough first inning in which the Crusaders scored five runs on seven hits.

Noah Mahoney found himself caught in a run-down on a Jake Simmons fielder's choice. Mahoney avoided the tag at the plate and scored the second run for the YellowJackets.

Carson Dickey snagged his second RBI on a sac bunt that scored freshman
Bryce Pauler from third.

Andrew Harlan tied a season-high with seven strikeouts including three straight in the third inning. Harlan drops to 2-5 on the season after allowing three earned runs on ten hits in his eight-inning effort.

LeTourneau will complete the series with UMHB on Friday afternoon with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. at Conrad-Vernon Field.
