LETU Men Now 6-4 Following 9-0 Win Over Gordon College

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC - Dropping a total of two games during doubles play, the LeTourneau University men's tennis team would carry over their hot start to win by a final score of 9-0 over Gordon College at Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina on Tuesday, March 12th. 

Earning their second win in three days, LETU is now 6-4 overall while the Fighting Scots slipped to 1-6 overall. 

YellowJacket dominance in doubles play would be shown from all three teams as the duos of Jimmie Henson and Christian Farris at number one doubles along with Bobby Clark and Nathan Schmidt at number three doubles would both take 8-0 victories in their matches. Completing the doubles sweep was Paulo Cressio and Zac Crowley-Kurth with an 8-2 win at number two doubles to put LeTourneau in prime position to earn a quick victory during singles play. 

Farris (number two singles) and Clark (number four singles) would secure an LETU victory by winning their matches by scores of 6-0, 6-1 while Cressio earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory at number three singles. James Estrada would secure a 6-1, 6-1 win in his only action of the day at number six singles while Henson would outlast his opponent at number one singles 7-6, 5-7, 10-7. Jeffrey Golladay would also manage to pick up tiebreaker singles victory at number five singles with a 6-2, 4-6, 10-5 win to cap off the clean sheet for the YellowJackets. 

What's Next?
LeTourneau will look to end their spring trip on a high note when they take on Washington College of Maryland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13th. The Shoremen are coming off a 9-0 win over Lake Forest College in their only match thus far at Spring Tennis Fest.
