SHREVEPORT, La. -- LeTourneau University's women's soccer team lost to host Centenary College, 2-1, Tuesday.
The YellowJackets (1-2) got on the scoreboard first when
Jennifer Martin notched her third goal of the season, an unassisted strike in the 12th minute. LeTourneau took the one-goal lead into intermission.
Centenary (4-0) answered in the second half when Emilee Byrd scored an unassisted goal in the 65th minute. Kyra Montes tacked on the gamewinner in the 81st minute on an assist from Kat Martinez.
Centenary outshot LeTourneau, 20-8, which included a 9-2 advantage in the second half.

Kiersten Reeser made two saves in the loss. Centenary keeper Karlie Delhommer also stopped three shots in picking up the win.
Centenary commited 12 fouls to LeTourneau's 7. Centenary owned a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
