LONGVIEW – LeTourneau women's tennis team lost to Mary Hardin-Baylor, 6-3, Saturday.
Maddison Brackenreg accounted for two points, winning both of her singles and doubles matches. She and
Bailey Deatherage beat Victoria Rendon and Alondra Torres, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles. Brackenreg rolled past Rendon, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles.
Deatherage dropped a tight match to Torres, 7-5, 7-5, at No. 3 singles in her first appearance this season.
Samantha Trevino and
Sierra Giesen Linssen beat Reilly Fletcher and Macie Dehnisch, 8-2, at No. 3 doubles. At No. 2 pairs,
Summer Apostalo and
Amber Van Duyn dropped a battle, 9-7 (7-4), to give the Crusaders the edge going into singles play.
Van Duyn fell to Amanda Almanza, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4 singles. Trevino fell to Nathalie Galligan, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2. Apostalo lost to Fletcher, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 5. Giesen dropped her No. 6 match to Sydney Andersen, 6-4, 7-5.
