Bailey Deatherage lost to Diana Carvajalino and Melody Duong, 8-0, at No. 1 doubles.
Summer Apostalo and
Amber Van Duyn lost to Georgia Moore and Katie Seibert, 8-1, at the No. 2 position. At No. 3,
Samantha Trevino and
Sierra Giesen Linssen fell 8-1 to Gigi Francis and Phoebe Shapard.
Putting a point on the board for the YellowJackets, Brackenreg defeated Duong, 0-6, 6-3, (10-8), at No. 1 singles. Duong was ranked in the NCAA Division III West Region Top 20 two years ago. Trevino fell to Carvajalino, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2. Deatherage fell to Moore, 6-1, 6-3, at the No. 3 spot. Apostalo dropped her No. 4 singles match to Seibert, 6-1, 6-0. At No. 5, Giesen Linssen lost to Francis, 6-3, 6-3. Van Duyn fell to Joanna Leitch, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 6.
Sophie Hill fell to Shapard, 7-5, 6-1.
LETU will play at Sul Ross State 1 p.m. Friday. The YellowJackets play at Southwestern 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
